As summer blockbusters return to theaters, fast food chains are racing to offer themed meal deals. McDonald’s rolled out a Minecraft combo, Burger King served up “How to Train Your Dragon”–inspired items, and Dairy Queen launched a Superman Blizzard. Now, KFC enters the pit lane with its own cinematic tie-in: F1: The Movie and the return of its beloved Fill Up meals.
Fill Ups Return at an Affordable Price
First introduced in 2009 for $5, KFC’s single-serve Fill Up was later expanded into a family-style meal. This summer, the Fill Up makes a comeback for $7, offering fans a satisfying bargain without draining their wallets.
What’s Inside a $7 Fill Up?
Each Fill Up box includes a complete meal and a medium drink. Options include:
Three Tenders Fill Up: Three Original Recipe chicken tenders, choice of dip, mashed potatoes with gravy, a biscuit, two pies, and a medium drink.
One-Piece Fill Up: One piece of Original Recipe or Extra Crispy chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, a biscuit, two pies, and a medium drink.
Two-Piece Fill Up: One drumstick and one thigh (Original Recipe or Extra Crispy), mashed potatoes with gravy, a biscuit, two pies, and a medium drink.
Famous Bowl Fill Up: A Famous Bowl featuring mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cheese, and popcorn chicken, plus two pie pops and a medium drink.
New Movie-Themed Beverage
To complement the Fill Ups, KFC is also tapping into the “dirty soda” craze with a limited-edition Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning Peach Cream Soda. This fizzy, peach-cream concoction adds a refreshing twist to the summer lineup.
KFC’s Summer Strategy
“KFC and F1: The Movie are teaming up to bring ‘Kentucky Fried Chicken’ to the box office,” said KFC U.S. President Katherine Tan-Gillespie. “Our $7 Fill Up meals will turn fried chicken cravings into triumphs this summer.”
With the Fill Up’s return, new Pie Popper flavors, and special beverages, KFC aims to deliver blockbuster-worthy flavors all season long—no theater ticket required.
