Alfie’s, a popular bar in East London, has undergone a vibrant makeover this summer. It is now known as Little Fires, offering a genuine slice of Oaxaca, Mexico. The bar proudly embraces its Mexican identity, backed by a strong team and authentic offerings.
Expert Team Behind the Transformation
The transformation is led by Christian Pecoraro, Florian Schulze, and Horacio Sainz. They partnered with the team behind Sabina Sabe, one of the world’s top bars located in Oaxaca. Together, they crafted the cocktail menu at Little Fires.
As expected, the menu heavily features mezcal and tequila. For mezcal enthusiasts, the collaboration with Asunción Mezcal is particularly exciting. They offer a broad selection of unique and rare mezcals for patrons to enjoy.
Authentic Oaxacan Food to Complement the Drinks
Little Fires goes beyond drinks to bring true Mexican flavors. They teamed up with Rodolfo Castellanos, a top Mexican chef and owner of Origen Oaxaca. He created a menu of Oaxacan-style snacks and bites to accompany the cocktails. Expect delicious quesadillas, tacos, and ceviche on the menu.
The Venue: Two Floors of Atmosphere
The bar spreads across two floors. The ground floor features the main bar and restaurant. Upstairs, a vinyl speakeasy offers a cool, intimate space. This style is popular in East London nightlife today.
Late Night Mezcal Destination
Little Fires holds a late-night license, making it a perfect spot for mezcal lovers to enjoy drinks well into the early hours. The bar promises to satisfy your cravings with an authentic Mexican experience right in East London.
