Black Cow, the popular Middle Eastern steakhouse, is making a move from its original spot in the Hawley Wharf development in Camden to a new location in Shoreditch. The restaurant, known for its American steakhouse-style grill with a Middle Eastern twist, was created by Shiri Kraus and Amir Batito. The duo is also behind the well-known Epicurus restaurant in Camden, which has gained praise from food critic Jay Rayner.
The Stage: Black Cow’s New Home
While exact details about Black Cow’s new Shoreditch location remain a secret, it will be situated within a large, modern development called The Stage. The development is a striking apartment building named after the site of the original Shakespearean Curtain Theatre, a location with deep historical significance, as it also houses a replica of the theatre.
New Menu Highlights
The menu at Black Cow’s new location will feature a blend of Middle Eastern and Western influences. Notable dishes include lamb merguez corn dogs served with labneh yogurt and sweet harissa, as well as lamb butter cornbread. Steak lovers will also enjoy a variety of Josper-grilled cuts, including picanha, T-bone, and anglaise.
Signature Cocktails
In addition to the food, Black Cow will offer unique cocktails like the Ottoman Martini. This drink combines vodka, Kahlua, Turkish coffee, cardamom, and cream, giving guests a taste of Middle Eastern flavor with a modern twist.
