Mcdonald’s New Hershey’s Chocolate Dream Frappuccino

Sometimes a simple black coffee just isn’t enough. Now McDonald’s is offering something new to satisfy your craving for something sweeter and more special.

McDonald’s exclusively told Food & Wine that it’s launching a new Hershey’s Chocolate Chip Frappuccino, which combines the iconic Hershey’s Mocha Frappuccino and Caramel Frappuccino with “a hint of coffee, swirled with rich chocolate chips.” The fast food giant added that the “dreamlike drink is topped with hand-whipped whipped cream and sprinkled with more chocolate chips for an added touch of deliciousness.”

McDonald’s also noted that this Frappuccino is different from the previous limited-time Chocolate Chip Frappuccino because it uses a new recipe. “While we’ve launched regional Chocolate Chip Frappuccinos in the past, this year is the first time it’s been launched in conjunction with Hershey’s and is topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips instead of chocolate chips,” a spokesperson shared.

As for how long fans can expect this Frappuccino to stay on the menu, McDonald’s didn’t provide an exact timeline, but said it’s “only available for a limited time at participating restaurants,” so “grab one now while you can.”

It’s also only available in select markets, including Chicago, San Francisco, St. Louis, Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Miami, as well as some smaller hubs.

However, this isn’t the only new item on McDonald’s menu. On April 24, McDonald’s announced the launch of new McCrispy McNuggets and a new creamy pepper sauce to go with them. But unlike the Frappuccino, these new items are permanent fixtures on the McDonald’s menu.

Last week, McDonald’s announced that the McCrispy McNuggets are made with “tender, juicy 100% white meat, coated in a crispy golden breading and bursting with a rich new black pepper flavor.” Additionally, the McCrispy McNuggets sauce is “savory, sweet, and sour,” giving you a “delicious McCrispy McNuggets experience.”

“When we introduce a new menu item like the McCrunch, we know we have a huge commitment to meet our customers’ expectations,” said Cesar Pina, McDonald’s senior vice president and chief supply chain officer, in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “From the farms we source from to the ingredients in our restaurants, bringing new products to our fans requires a collaborative effort between suppliers, franchisees and our employees. We hold ourselves to the highest standards and are committed to bringing the best experience to our fans.”

Honestly, the McCrunch and the Hershey’s Frappuccino sound like a match made in heaven. But again, get them now while you can. Otherwise, you’ll just have to settle for a regular Frappuccino.
