Side Hustle, a bar in the NoMad London hotel in Covent Garden, is having a series of unique collaborations. They’ve picked three deserving superstars to create special burritos over the next three months. Each superstar has worked with the team at NoMad to design these burritos, which will be available throughout the month.
Kicking off on May 1 is Tomos Parry of Brat and Mountain. If you want to know what a burrito from this Michelin-starred chef is like, you’ve got to go and experience it. Details of his burritos will be revealed on the day, but we’re told it will be “a vegetarian option, featuring one of the best seasonal vegetables in the UK – asparagus”.
Next up, we have to admit that the most interesting is actor Will Poulter’s taco, which will be available on June 5. Again, details are still under wraps, but we’re told it’s “inspired by the latest chapter of everyone’s favourite fictional chef series”. So if you want to try a taco made by one of the chefs from the Bears show, this is definitely the closest you’ll get. New episodes are likely to be released around this time, so “Chef Luca’s” tacos should be just what you need to get into the zone.
Finally, to wrap up the series, top bartender and one half of the duo behind Tayer + Elementary, Monica Berg, has created a taco that will be available on July 7. Proceeds from the taco sales will be donated to City Harvest, a charity dedicated to reducing food waste and donating it to those in need.
