Not wanting to be left out of Londoners’ general love affair with noodles, ultra-luxury hotel The Peninsula London has also jumped on the bandwagon. They’ve just opened a noodle bar that offers a wide range of noodle dishes, as well as Kwai Fook beer from Hong Kong and a cocktail menu created by the bar itself.
The chef behind the menu is award-winning Hou Yurui, who conceived the concept alongside Jonnie Liang, executive sous chef at The Peninsula Beijing.
Their launch menu features:
Dan Dan noodles with minced beef in Sichuan chilli oil
Zhajiang noodles with diced pork belly and yellow bean sauce
Eggplant noodles with star anise and Sichuan peppercorns
Yi Fu noodles with ginger and scallion shrimp
If you really want to flex your muscles, there’s a secret dish that’s not on the menu. All you need to know is to order the Peking duck noodles. Beer and noodle combos start at just £20, which isn’t bad for this part of Belgravia.
