Cava is heating up—and conjuring up early 2000s nostalgia.
Starting April 22, the Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual brand will launch its first-ever flavor mix inspired by its popular menu item, Spicy Harissa Pita Crisps. Available nationwide for a limited time, the spicy chips can be purchased online, in-store, or through the Cava app.
To celebrate the launch, Cava is also releasing an unexpected music video: a video based on Kylie Minogue’s 2001 classic “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” Choreographed and directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Erin Murray, the video features swirling dance sequences designed to capture the joy fans feel when dining at Cava.
“Our new Spicy Harissa Pita Chips are a bold take on our beloved snacks, and we can’t wait to bring more joy and flavor to our customers,” said Ted Xenohristos, co-founder and chief concept officer of Cava.
The new chips take Cava’s classic pita snack and infuse it with the chain’s signature harissa spice, creating what the brand calls a “powerful flavor” that’s perfect for dips, spreads or bowls, like harissa guacamole or steak harissa.

Cava’s Spicy Harissa Pita Chips fit right in with the times: tangy and mouthwatering, its spice blend is rooted in tradition yet full of surprises.
This launch also reflects the direction of where the Cava brand is headed. Since going public in 2023, the Mediterranean chain has leapt from regional favorite to national disruptor—with 323 stores worldwide and revenue growth of 29.5% year over year as of fiscal 2024.
At a time when many chains are retrenchment or chasing low-cost value, Cava is investing in taste-first innovation and emotion-driven marketing. Their strategy taps into more enduring elements: food as identity, happiness as a differentiator, and those small moments that make people remember.
