Legendary Charles Fried Chicken From Harlem Is Coming To London

by Ella

Truffle Burger brought New York’s 7th Street Burger to a pop-up last year with great success, and now they’re trying it again.

The burger company is launching a series of special summer pop-ups at its South Bank location, and it’s leading the way with another New York burger making its London debut. This time it’s the legendary Harlem restaurant Charles Pan Fried Chicken, who are bringing a taste of the Deep South to South Bank.

The Truffle Burger pop-up is led by chef Charles Gabriel, who is returning to London for the first time since his honeymoon in 1975. The menu will include pan-fried chicken, baked mac and cheese, kale and cinnamon-citrus yams. You can also enjoy banana pudding for dessert. Unlike the 7th Street pop-up, this one will be open in South Bank for two weeks, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy this fried chicken.

Future pop-ups sound like they’re worth a visit, too. This summer, they’ll be serving Homer’s lobster from France, burritos from Forsyth Fire Lane in New York, Mexican-American cuisine from Nixta Taqueria, shredded cheese from Bodega Truck in New York, and more.
