Miller Lite & Pringles Launch Beer And Barbecue Flavored Potato Chips

by Ella

One of summer’s most satisfying simple pleasures is enjoying a relaxing party on a patio or in the backyard on a warm Saturday night. And the best part about outdoor entertaining is the food that comes with it.

If you’re the type of person who grills all summer long, you’re likely familiar with the slow-cooked, tender, and juicy dish that is beer can chicken. While this grilling strategy—chicken grilled on a beer can—is delicious, we’ve been looking for a more time-saving flavor combination, and now Pringles can help.

Miller Lite has teamed up with Pringles to launch two new potato chips that deliver classic warm-weather flavors, without the grilling involved. According to a press release from Food & Wine magazine, Pringles flavors of Beer Can Fried Chicken and Grilled Beer Sausage are coming to a grocery store near you, bringing “your favorite grilled favorites” and the “flavor of Miller Lite hoppy ales” to any outdoor gathering.

While both products have the flavor of beer, their flavors are very different. According to a press release, the Pringles x Miller Lite Canned Chicken “brings together the flavors of delicious grilled chicken, garlic and onion with the authentic flavor of the original light beer.”

The Pringles x Miller Lite Grilled Beer Sausage, on the other hand, “features the smoky grilled sausage flavor you know and love, with notes of black pepper, caramelized onion and brown spice, in addition to a light beer flavor.”

Starting in May, shoppers can pick up both seasonal products at retailers nationwide, but you’ll have to act fast: This limited-time offer is only available while supplies last.

“At Pringles, we’re committed to introducing new, unexpected flavors that surprise our fans and satisfy their cravings wherever and whenever they want,” said Mauricio Jenkins, head of marketing for Pringles USA. “That’s why we teamed up with the brewing geniuses at Miller Lite to bring two of our iconic brands together. These chips are the perfect blend of the best flavors of summer in one delicious bite, and we can’t wait for fans to experience them.”

In today’s official launch announcement, the American beer brand acknowledged the role its light beer plays in many of its fan-favorite dishes during summer’s most quintessential culinary occasions.

“We know fans have incorporated the iconic flavor of Miller Lite into grilling staples, so it felt like a perfect combination to bring that same flavor into the ultimate salty snack of Pringles for fans to enjoy at backyard barbecues this summer,” said Ann Legan, Vice President of Marketing, Miller Family of Brands.

We’ve been eager to try the limited edition Pringles potato chips since images of the cans made their way around social media in late January. Earlier this year, food blogger and content creator Snackolator shared the rumored new product with his more than 600,000 followers on Instagram, and many fans expressed their mixed reactions to the product in the comments section.

Some were eager to know if the new beer can fried chicken flavor would be similar to the limited edition grilled chicken chips that were discontinued in 2021, while others were skeptical of the flavor combination. But as big fans of grilled chicken, German sausages, chips, and beer at an outdoor barbecue, we are sure they will be absolutely mouth-watering.

The official Pringles account then posted on Instagram on January 30, confirming the upcoming release of beer can chicken chips, and hungry fans have been waiting for the official release date and more details to be announced – until now.

Whether you are having a real outdoor picnic or just want to sit comfortably on the sofa to enjoy the taste of grilled chicken, you can try this delicious snack.
