Fireback, a renowned restaurant based in North Goa’s Siolim-Bardez, is bringing its celebrated Thai cuisine to Chennai for a limited-time event. From March 14, Fireback is taking over the C Salt restaurant at the Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, Mahabalipuram, for a three-day pop-up dinner showcasing the best of Thailand’s maritime flavors. Known for its authentic Thai dishes and culinary expertise under the direction of Chef David Thompson, Fireback promises to deliver an unforgettable dining experience.
Exclusive Four-Course Menu Featuring Thai Delights
The special menu curated for this event spans four courses: appetizers, soups, mains, and desserts, available in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The offerings include a selection of Fireback’s best-selling dishes, including curries, stir-fries, small plates, and grilled items, each crafted with bold and fresh Thai flavors.
Flavorful Starters
The appetizers highlight the essence of Thai cuisine, featuring dishes like raw papaya som tam (a tangy papaya salad) and ma hor (pineapple topped with cherry tomato, palm sugar, and fried shallots). Guests can also enjoy khao tang na tang, a creamy chicken curry dip served with crispy dago crackers, and grilled sweet potato, served with gorlae sauce and cucumber relish.
Traditional Thai Soups
For the soup course, Fireback offers a fragrant coconut and galangal soup. Vegetarians can enjoy it with mushrooms, while meat lovers can opt for the version with chicken, bringing together rich and aromatic flavors.
Exquisite Mains
The main course features a range of exciting Thai dishes, such as banana leaf-wrapped tofu or seabass, and a hearty dry Panaeng curry made with raw banana or pulled pork. The green curry, available with chicken or vegetables, is complemented by pea aubergine, palm hearts, and fried shallots. Another standout dish is the stir-fried morning glory, prepared with pakchoi and yellow bean sauce, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors.
A Unique Thai Culinary Experience in Chennai
