The West End Community Church in MacGregor, Manitoba, is hosting a fundraiser to support its building expansion project. The event will take place on March 22 at the hall in Austin, Manitoba.
Fundraiser for Church Expansion
The church, which is experiencing growth, plans to add a new sanctuary and a gymnasium to accommodate its increasing congregation. The gym, designed for community use, is expected to become a valuable resource for the entire MacGregor-Austin area.
Dessert and Pie Auction
The fundraiser, organized by Breanne Burch, will feature a dessert and pie auction. Local residents are invited to donate homemade baked goods, which will be auctioned off during the event. All funds raised will go directly toward the church’s expansion project.
Burch, who grew up in the area, shared that the idea for the auction stemmed from the community’s love for homemade treats.
“I grew up here, and I missed the homemade pies and baked goods when I lived in Winnipeg. I knew this would be a fun way to bring the community together and raise money for a project that will benefit everyone,” Burch said.
Event Details
The event will not require tickets for entry. Attendees can enjoy coffee, tea, Italian sodas, and desserts while participating in the auction. The church hopes the event will bring the community together and generate excitement as they work toward expanding their space.
The West End Community Church encourages all community members to attend and support this important cause.
