LeGrand brings a wealth of experience to the table, having opened 10 successful restaurants, including renowned spots like Cucina Urbana, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Brian Malarkey’s Herringbone and Burlap, and The Marine Room. Whedon, with 25 years of experience in hospitality, has contributed to the success of prestigious establishments such as Robert Redford’s Sundance Resort, Island Outpost, and Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. Additionally, Whedon has a strong background in the luxury wine industry.

A Talented Team Behind the Menu
To bring their vision to life, LeGrand and Whedon have enlisted the expertise of celebrated San Diego chef Jason McCleod, who assisted in developing Lana’s concept. The team also announced Chris Ruhl as Lana’s Executive Chef. Ruhl, with an extensive background in some of San Diego’s finest kitchens, including Hillcrest’s Cellar Hand and Juniper and Ivy, will draw on his close relationships with local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen to curate a menu that highlights the best of the region’s ingredients.

The restaurant spans 5,000 square feet and has been designed by Workind Studio to offer a warm, inviting, and versatile atmosphere.
