A new dessert destination has arrived in Calgary, offering a unique taste of Thailand in the heart of the city. Kati Kati, a Thai-inspired dessert cafe, has opened its doors in Chinatown, taking over the former space of The Alley.
A Sweet Experience for Dessert Lovers
Calgary’s dessert scene is already packed with popular spots, but Kati Kati adds a fresh twist with its extensive menu. The cafe features a variety of indulgent treats, including stacked toasts and Bingsu, a Korean shaved ice dessert. Many of the offerings are infused with traditional Thai ingredients like coconut milk, pandan, and tropical fruits, giving them an exotic flavor profile.
One standout item is the honey toast. This dish is a delightful combination of toasted bread drizzled with honey, topped with a buttery crumble, whipped cream, and fresh fruits such as strawberries and bananas, all crowned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
For fans of Thai tea, the Thai tea Bingsu offers a refreshing spin on the classic drink. The shaved ice is infused with Thai tea and topped with cream cheese, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
Soft Opening and Hours
Kati Kati is currently in its soft opening phase and is welcoming customers from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
