A new bottomless pizza restaurant chain, Moto Pizza, is preparing to open its doors in Ipswich and has submitted a request to the Ipswich Borough Council for additional seating space. The restaurant, located between the Waterfront and town centre, was originally planned to house Papas Pizza but has since undergone a name change.
Request for Alterations and Additional Seating
In June, Moto Pizza applied to the council for alterations to the site, and now, the developers have submitted a second application seeking permission to use a panelled store room as extra seating for 12 people. The plans also include the removal of an existing plywood partition and the addition of more lighting in this area to enhance the atmosphere.
Moto Pizza’s Expanding Presence
Moto Pizza already operates two other venues—one on Chelmsford’s Baddow Road and another on Colchester’s High Street. While the exact opening date for the Ipswich location has not been announced, the company stated that it would reveal the date soon.
Location History
The site of the new restaurant was previously home to Takayama Japanese and Korean restaurant. However, Takayama moved to St Nicholas Street in April 2023, and the Fore Street location has been vacant since. The restaurant is housed inside a Grade II-listed building, adding to its historic charm.
Moto Pizza is set to bring its bottomless pizza concept to Ipswich, promising a fresh and exciting dining experience for locals.
