Toasted Yolk Cafe, a popular brunch spot based in Houston, has expanded its presence in the Sarasota area with the opening of its third location. The new restaurant is located at 6562 University Parkway, Suite 150, within the Center Point at Waterside development in Lakewood Ranch.
A Special Connection to Sarasota
The restaurant first arrived in the area in 2023 with a Sarasota location on South Tamiami Trail. A second location followed in Bradenton on Cortez Road West. Despite being based in Texas, Toasted Yolk Cafe’s co-founder and CEO, Chris Milton, has a deep personal connection to the Sarasota region. Raised in Bradenton, Milton and his wife Kelly, who co-owns the Sarasota territory, found the area’s charm irresistible.
“We just love the culture, the area, the beaches, and the people,” Kelly Milton shared. “We thought it would be a great place to bring something we love to a city we love.”
A Diverse Brunch and Lunch Menu
Toasted Yolk Cafe offers a variety of egg-centric breakfast dishes such as their signature “The Toasted Yolk” – sourdough bread grilled with an egg in the middle, served with a choice of breakfast meat. The menu also features omelets, eggs Benedict (called Arnolds), pancakes, French toast, brunch bowls, and appetizers.
For lunch, the cafe offers an array of sandwiches, salads, soups, and starters. Their drink menu includes specialty cocktails, mimosas in various flavors, as well as beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages like coffee and juice.
Part of a Thriving Dining Hub
The new Lakewood Ranch location joins a growing list of dining spots in the Center Point at Waterside development. Other popular destinations include Owen’s Fish Camp, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar, Bar Italia, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Toasted Yolk Cafe in Lakewood Ranch is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, customers can call 941-210-4105.
