Traverse City’s annual Restaurant Week will kick off on February 23, offering food lovers a unique opportunity to explore the city’s vibrant culinary scene. Participating restaurants will feature special menus that range from $25 to $50, with multi-course meals showcasing the best of local ingredients.
This event is a perfect way to sample the flavors of Grand Traverse and discover new dining spots in the area.
A Celebration of Local Ingredients
According to Sara Klebba, the Traverse City DDA Director of Events and Engagement, the event highlights the talents of local chefs who use fresh, locally sourced produce, meats, and beverages.
“What makes it special is that we have a lot of talented chefs that use local produce, locally sourced meats,” Klebba said. “They have these relationships with food purveyors, farmers, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. They can tell this uniquely northern Michigan story right on a plate.”
Restaurant Week offers a great chance to experience the distinct flavors and stories behind Traverse City’s culinary offerings.
